Directions to Reach the School:

Prashanti Gurukulam is located in Asoor Village at about 7Kms from Wallajabad. On the other side, the school is at about 12 Kms from Kanchipuram.

How to Reach the School from Chennai:

If you are living in areas close to Tambaram, travel from Tambaram to Walajabad by taking bus Nos. 79 (or) 579 (or) 579 A. There are frequent busses to Walajabad from Tambaram. In addition, all busses going to Kanchipuram from Tambaram will pass through Walajabad. The journey will take you about one hour. Once you reach Wallajabad bus stop, take an autorickshaw to the school which would cost you around Rs. 100.

If you are using your personal vehicle for transit, drive to the junction that lies immediately after the Walajabad bus stop. Leave out the roads that stretch to your right oand left that lead to Kanchipuram and Chengalpet respectively. Instead, take the straight road passing over the palar bridge. To the left of the road at the starting point, you will find a sign board stating Prashanti Gurukulam – 7Kms. From this point, be guided by such sign boards installed at frequent points throughout the way.

If you are living in areas close to Chennai – Bangalore highway, you can travel to Kanchipuram. From Kanchipuram bus stop, you can take an auto rickshaw to the school which may cost around Rs. 1oo. If you are using your personal vehicle for transit, take the Uttiramerur road from Kanchipuram Bust Stop. You will pass through Orikkai and Palar Bridge and reach Kalakkattur junction located at about 8 kms from Kanchipuram Bus stop. At this point, take a left turn. This road will pass through two villages called Kalur and Periyanatham before it reaches Prashanti Gurukulam sited right on the main road. The distance from Kalakkaattur junction to the school is about 4Kms.
